cat pooping on carpet::We had no litterbox problems with them until we had a baby last december, then one of them started pooping just beside his litterbox, but he would still pee in the box.
We found 6 evenly spaced piles all along one wall.
Since we cleaned it up he is still returning daily to these spots and pooping there again.
We then put boxes all along this area to cover the spots and he is now just pooping in front of them.
The first couple weeks we were here he was fine, but i think it started the day we had furnace installers working here and he might have been too scared by the noise to go to his litterbox.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cats are territorial animal and very sensitive to change.
Try reintroducing the hooded cat litter trays, normally cat prefer the hooded litter trays as they are very secretive animals when it come to going to the toilet.
